After owning this item for 6 months the cord that connects the power supply to the outlet just broke apart one day.

The picture used to sell this listing is for a gunuine Dell brand adapter. What was shipped was a cheap knock off without a Dell logo and without the rubber band to hold the cords in place.
Although this could be an accident, since there is so much competition for this type of item, I suspect bait and switch. This is a very dishonest practice and a waste of time for buyers.

order arrived in socal on monday after ordering it on tuesday the week before and worked perfectly, i have had it now for 5 months and it still works perfectly and it is a genuine dell charger as well. very good merchant, also bought a battery from them with no problems.

I have been using my replacement for a couple of weeks. Today the adapter nearly caught on fire. The plastic of the main part is melted. Thankfully it did not permanently damage my laptop nor start a fire. I am going to send this back and not make the same mistake again.

I was skeptical if this would be a original dell charger and if it would work but after I recieved it, it shipped fast. it works very well with my inspiron and very good buy at the price. recommend to buy if you are looking for a replacement dell charger.
