I bought this without checking the reviews and wish I had. This is not strong enough to charge a laptop battery. It is supposedly 3.4 amps with 19.5 volts. I checked the output with my multimeter and it was slightly lower voltage and 3 amps (less than 60W). It worked at first, but no longer is sufficient to charge the battery, so it just keeps the computer on… Also – you have to jiggle it to make it connect sometimes. Don’t get suckered in to getting the cheaper cable.

The cord is short and depending on the space I’m in (I’m pretty mobile), the heavy converter box will drag the cord out of the back of the computer or I have to put it on the table or it hangs in the way. It’s not horrible, but if the cord were a few feet longer, it would be excellent instead of just okay.

I just received this last week and I’m already looking to buy a new one. It doesn’t really plug into my computer correctly/securely and I have to jiggle the connection around to get power to my laptop. I definitely do not recommend this product.

This power supply is not adequate for most Dell laptops. The problem is one of design – it only outputs 3.34 amps. I plugged it into my Dell Inspiron laptop, and all it would do is maintain the current low state of charge – the battery did not gain any charge even though it was plugged in overnight.
